Food Industry Technology Research Institute, approved and filed for construction by the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology in 2021, is a provincial-level industry technology research institute. It is one of the third batch of 3 such institutes approved and established in Hubei Province. The institute is undertaken by Hubei Xiaohu Duck Food Co., Ltd.
The Industry Technology Research Institute is a platform aimed at integrating government, enterprises, universities, research institutes, and other resources. It is market-oriented with industrialization as its goal, focusing on conducting research and development of common and key technologies in the industry. The institute aims to promote the successful transformation of technology, technological innovation, and entrepreneurship to enhance the platformized organization of the regional industrial structure hierarchy.
Its focus areas include breakthroughs in technology for the upgrading of the Hubei food industry, leading the industry, core technology research and development, and the development of new products in the processing of distinctive Jingchu specialty foods. Additionally, it concentrates on talent support and technical services for the Hubei food industry.
